He has more than 29 years of work experience in Sales, Distribution, Marketing, International Roaming, Logistics, Project Management and Product Development in ICT, Telecommunication and Digital Money industries.
Previously he has served in Grameenphone (a Telenor Venture), Citycell, and Airtel Bangladesh (a Bharti Airtel venture) at various leadership capacities.
In his role as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of bKash, he has guided the company to drive revenue and customer acquisition in a compliant manner. His decisive leadership helped bKash get over 22 million customers within five years, making it the “World’s largest mobile financial service provider” in terms of number of subscribers, agents, and transactions.
Reza is the founder Managing Director & CEO of Celero that aims to be a platform for socioeconomic development and enriching lives in Bangladesh.
He is also the Adviser to the Board of KIU Global Ltd. KIU is a US-Based Global Enterprise, who pioneered the idea of software in the cloud for the emerging markets; and is currently offering its services across six countries in the ASEAN Region.
Reza’s financial service initiative Nagad has been launched in the market in 2018 with a vision of becoming the first-ever full-fledged MAFS (Multiple-Access Financial Service) of Bangladesh.
He has also served as the Managing Director and CEO of upay (A UCB Fintech Company Limited) from January 2022 to October 2022.
His latest initiative is an integrated platform, Shetu Digital– which aims to be the single umbrella for building a unique ecosystem for the Micro-SMEs. Through the proper combination of logistics , delivery service and a marketplace integrated with digital financial solutions, Shetu Digital will play a vital role to minimize the middleman layers between Micro-SMEs and consumers. This will act as a catalyst for empowerment of the Micro-SMEs by removing their entry barriers and ensure inclusion of the thousands Micro-SMEs in the formal economy. Once fully implemented, this will improve the livelihoods of millions of people and create further investment and employment opportunities in the country.
He is currently serving as a Chairman of Algorithm Generation, a tech solution provider dedicated to transforming lives and businesses.
Reza is currently managing a team of more than 500 people with diversified experience and skill sets.
